Hiking the Dolpa Circuit is a cherished memory that you’ll always remember. You open the opportunity to experience life within the most remote highlands of Nepal. The path passes through a range of landscapes starting from easy pastures which will remind you in some ways of the Alps, to barren rocks stretched to the Tibetan highland. The Phoksundo Lake beats the beauty from all over, with its deep blue and emerald colors giant rocks.
As you move further you’ll encounter small residential
villages influenced by Tibetan culture
and tradition. Buddhism and Bonpo area are important for the people living in
these villages in a complex in existence. Bonpo religion is the oldest religion
here and follows the religious tradition of Tibet. it's closely associated with
Buddhism however has additional religion and philosophical influences creating
a region of legendary attractiveness.
Due to its remote location, Dolpa continues to be
the less trekked track destination. Tourists visiting there a few mostly during
summer months. The Dolpa Circuit may be quite strenuous trekking with some
challenging climbs. The path leads to high passes, Numa La (5318 m) and Baga La
(5190 m). These crossings involve lengthy climbs and long descents. The scenery
on the way, the views from the passes and also the encounters you encounter
will have that imprinted experience to your brain. In Addition, you will have
with the Dolpa people will create a worthwhile odyssey.
Leaving from Kathmandu, it’s fourteen days trip, however, it can be shortened or extended, looking on the duration of walking, the location you are on a daily basis. We suggest Camping for this trek. The surrounding area comprises of basic guesthouses in Juphal, Dunai, Lingdo, Dho Tarap, Ringmo, getting ready to Sanduwathat is near the Amchi Hospital Chhepka and Kageni from the opposite places you'll camp.
The favourable seasons for the Dolpa Circuit is April to November. However, we advise you to look for a local tour operator if lodges are operating in April and if passes are available in November. The situation may also depend on prevailing weather or climate at that place at that instant. We often suggest you to trek during in monsoon season because the upper Dolpo region lies within the area. But what you need to confine is that the visit from rootage is often interrupted by weather in the lowlands. Therefore provide yourself an additional day or two on every ends of your trip to backup for flight cancellations and road blockage.
