Trek to Mardi Base Camp
For the 1st time a small trekking parties with tents and a catering staff was able to access the Mardi Himal trek route after a long walk. The trek follows battered shepherds ' trails which has been still offering summer pasture. The trek was opened officially in 2012 and remains unchanged. Few tea houses provide fundamental facilities. This is a relatively convenient , uninterrupted and unspoiled short trek, close to Pokhara. Yet the cultural experience, breathtaking walks through forests and the alpine landscape are very diverse. With the trail remaining mainly along the ridge, the height gain is progressive.
Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the area of Annapurna Region. Travelling to the Mardi Himal an area of Annapurna Region, you will see a lot of other trekking enthusiasts, and less crowds, and meet friendly local people along the way. A series of new lodges and home-stay were built along the ridge of Mardi Himal.
